Citrus Fruit Freezer

Keep prepared citrus flavours, such as lemons or limes, in the freeze so they are there when required. From lemon or limes slices, zest to juice all can be kept in the freezer ready to liven up a meal or garnish a drink.

  • Freshly squeeze citrus juice can be poured into an ice cube tray and frozen. A frozen ice cube can be added to a soup, curry or even a stew for added citrus flavour, at the end of the cooking.
  • Grated zest can be kept in a sealed container and frozen, then use straight from the freezer in dishes such as; pasta, noodles, salad dressings, fruit desserts and mixed in with breadcrumbs for fish.
  • Freeze citrus wedges or slices in airtight containers for adding to drinks.
